Yesterday, from early evening into the late Chicago night, the corner of State and Lake was permeating the smell of melted chocolate. I searched and searched but found not the source. It shall remain a mystery.

Joy's mystery-solving was spot on.
One evening this past summer, I had the pleasure of indulging in Blommer's dark chocolate covered pecans. The factory was right next to a park that was projecting Ferris Bueller onto a giant inflatable screen and business was booming. The chocolate-covered pecans were a delicious pre-movie snack. Since I am never one to skimp on scientific dessert data, I also tasted them during and after, proving my hypothesis that something that smelled so good was worthy of eating.
